The Arkansas vs Alabama NCAA football matchup was the most highly anticipated this weekend. Both teams are in the top 10, and both are in the SEC. Last week, Bobby Petrino's Razorbacks upset the Georgia Bulldogs - another strong SEC contender- giving way for the possibility that perhaps they would be able to stop the Crimson Tide. Things looked promising. Former University of Michigan QB Ryan Mallett was at the top of his game, and he's definitely a Heisman contender. However, Bama's Mark Ingram - last year's Heisman winner and a strong contender for this year as well - was back after an injury. Without him, defeating the newly tightened up Arkansas team would prove difficult.
In the end, Bama beat the Razorbacks 24-20, after a lead by the Razorbacks for most of the game.
