Courtney Cox David Arquette Split & Divorce Possible. Courtney Cox, the star of Cougar Town and former Friends star and her husband David Arquette have announced that, after 11 years of marriage, they are going to go through a "trial separation."

Courtney played neurotic "Monica" on the 90's sitcom Friends, where she starred along side Matt LeBlanc, David Schwimmer, and of course Jennifer Aniston. Aniston recently made a guest appearance on Cougartown and it was so great to see the two together again.

The couple met on the set of "Scream" in 1994 and they married in 1999. They claim the "trial separation" is to "better understand ourselves and the qualities we need in a partner and for our marriage."

The months long separation was reported by TMZ after the couple leaked the split, as Arquette was photographed without his wedding band and with another woman.
