New LeBron James Nike Ad

New LeBron James Nike Ad asks the question "What Should I Do?" Of course, many wish he would have asked that BEFORE leaving the Cavs for the Heat, and now it looks too little too late. The LeBron James Nike Ad is getting a lot of criticism from people who think its downright odd.

LeBron says he's not a role model, and then is seen shoving a donut in his mouth. He ponders "starting over" as he's seen bulldozing a basketball court.

Nike has a propensity to do these odd commercials. They did one earlier this year where Tiger Woods is seen sitting quiet, while his "dad" is speaking to him. OF course, we all know his dad has passed away.

If anyone is the real winner, it's Nike - not LeBron. People are frustrated with him. They wish he would have stayed with the Cavs.

Below see the LeBron James Nike Ad.

  1. Is this an attempt to revive his sagging image or tell the public to shove it? If you have to ask it's not good.

  2. It is a little disturbing listening to and reading critics of LaBron who state, "Everyone wanted him to stay in Cleveland" or "Everyone thinks he didn't leave Cleveland the right way." I live in a Cleveland suburb and I think LaBron did what he thought was best for him and his career. I will miss seeing LaBron every home game in person, but I love this commercial. It shows the silly nature of the media trying to vilify someone who has the right to work anywhere he wants and the right to have an ego as big as he does to succeed at the top of his profession.
I thought that this was the United States of America. The land of the FREE and home of the brave, where only your talent or lack of there-of could tell you where you can work. For the first time that I can remember, a young multi millionaire athlete, who spent seven years working for 1 employer, didn’t wait to see if a rich old guy would help him have the career he wanted. This young person decided to use his talents to write his own legacy, Good or Bad.
Would it had been better if Gilbert traded LaBron to Miami? Yes, for Gilbert, not for LaBron. Speaking for just one person in Cleveland who loves the game of basketball, I have not been this excited about watching basketball games on TV, since Michael Jordan's departure. Speaking for just one person in Cleveland who is proud of this young man, I wish LaBron all the best with the rest of his truly amazing career thus far.
