Harry Potter Box Office Brings $350M After Deathly Hallows Premiere

Harry Potter's box office brings $350 M to the makers of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. This is Harry Potter's second to last box office run, as the long living series is nearing an end. Although certainly not the most dynamic of the Harry Potter films, it sets a stage for the finale, which will be released in July 2011.

Also being revealed in 2011 is the first of the final two Twilight movies. Although the first half of Breaking Dawn won't be released until November, many are predicting that the final Harry Potter film in July will be the bigger of the two releases.

According to Box Office Mojo, Harry Potter has raked in about $349M worldwide as of November 23. In the US, the seventh installment of the eight part series has raked in $144M - and the totals are only expected to compound over the Thanksgiving holiday. Opening weekend brought $125M.

Of course, Harry Potter will remain one of the more popular series in pop culture. Next year, we will find out which is more popular Twilight or Harry Potter.
