Facebook Profile Cartoon Pictures - Awareness of Child Abuse Using Cartoons

Facebook profile cartoon pictures will, until today, shed awareness of child abuse. There are many cartoon Facebook profile pics of 70's, 80's and 90's cartoon characters - so I've seen a lot of Daria, a lot of Looney Tunes, a lot of Mickey Mouse and some of my favorite throwbacks, including She Ra, the Thunder Cats, Rainbow Brite, and Strawberry Shortcake.

They just don't make cartoons like they used to, do they? Think of this though - in a few years, "cartoons from my childhood" will be Dora the Explorer, and Blues Clues...yikes!

The day ends a campaign that sought to send a rather serious message - there are children out there who are being abused.  We should all be aware of it and look for signs that abuse is taking place.

For instance, Zahra Baker is one little girl who was recently murdered. There are some who believe that her stepmother and her birth father abused her. Whether or not that abuse lead up to her death is uncertain. She suffered from bone cancer and had hearing loss as a result. Many look back and wish they would have said something.

The Facebook profile cartoon picture campaign is for all the little Zahra's out there, and moreso all the children out there that we can still help.
