Halloween 2010 is here today, and pumpkin carving printable stencils and more are desired by those who want to make the most of Halloween but waited until the last minute (I guess that's where the printable comes in!). In addition to a couple of links to places where you can go and print stencils for your jack-o-lanterns and pumpkins, there's a video giving you pumpkin carving tips for free.

Some people will still want to freehand their pumpkin. These will likely have a traditional appearance. However, if you wish to have something special, such as an intricate portrait or something unique on your pumpkin, you will need to purchase a stencil.

Pumpkin Lady has a variety of Free stencils, and specialty pumpkin templates are an affordable $1.49. You can check that out here.

Of course, you can always head out to the store as well. There could be some good sales and deals on pumpkin carving kits today as they are really no good starting tomorrow. Above in the picture you can see a few ideas on how to decorate pumpkins. I like the little pumpkin Lumieres and the pumpkin with the crazy teeth.

Halloween Costume Idea Of The Day 2010: John Lennon!

Halloween Costume idea of the Day 2010: John Lennon. This year, the killer of John Lennon was denied parole, and the death of John Lennon was brought to the forefront again. Given the popularity of the Beatles it comes as little surprise that some people would want to dress as him.

In addition, if you are heading to a couples Halloween party, going dressed as Yoko Ono and John Lennon is always a popular option.

Furthermore, you can create a John Lennon costume with very little money if necessary. It's also a very popular costume idea for little kids.

All you need is a pair of tight bell bottom jeans, ripped, a Tie-Dyed T-shirt, and circle lens glasses. A wig would complete the look, but isn't 100% necessary.

Halloween Costumes 2010: Pets

Halloween Costumes 2010 for pets are available. Hey- sometimes our four legged critters are the most important ones in the family to dress up. Not so sure what to dress your pet as this Halloween? Well, we have plenty of ideas below for you in the video attached to this post.

Perhaps my favorite Halloween costume I have ever seen on an animal was my grandmother's wiener dog. She dressed her up as a hotdog.

Try to pick costumes that match your dog's breed. For instance, a German Shepherd would be a great police man, as a Dalmatian would make a great firefighter. Little dogs such as a Shih Tsu or a Yorkshire Terrier look adorable as a little fairy.

As far as Lady Gaga goes, take your pick. I am sure there are plenty of versatile costumes to choose from, and if you are creative enough, you can make your own costume as well. I am sure there will be a lot of faux meat dresses out there, paying tribute to the queen of Pop.

In the video below, Super Mario Brothers, Lady Gaga, and Jersey Shore are among the popular costumes discussed.

In addition, you can always dress up like Christine O'Donnell...but remember, she's "not a witch"

There are plenty of ideas when it comes to pumpkin carving, and there's a great free video on the topic below. In addition, there are lots of resources for great pumpkin patterns and stencils.

My favorite resource for free pumpkin carving ideas & stencils is Zombiepumpkins.com. The site is very professional and there's more than just free stencils available on the site.

With the site above with link and the video below, you should have no trouble completing a great pumpkin this Halloween.

Halloween 2010: Underwater Pumpkin Carving Contest

Halloween 2010 is rapidly approaching, and an underwater pumpkin carving contest took place. Contestants actually donned scuba gear and took pumpkins under the water and carved them. But don't believe me! I have the underwater pumpkin carving contest video to prove it!

Only certified divers can participate in the contest. First, they gut their pumpkin at home and take it, along with their tools, to the contest location. No stencils or patterns can be on the pumpkin.

Think if it like this - the pumpkin must be carved free hand. With all the water, it is impossible to trace a stencil!

See a video below about the Underwater Pumpkin carving contest, and click here for more information.

This year, between the mid-term elections and the various shows on TV there's plenty to choose from in terms of a trendy costume. For instance, Lady Gaga's meat dress is a sure-fire hit with many people. I would't be surprised if the Meat Dress becomes a Hollywood costume go-to.

Other last minute costumes include Christine O'Donnell (as a witch, of course), The Situation, Snooki, or JWoww.

Below see a video about some Halloween costume ideas.
