Jason Hartmann finished the race eighth, and was the highest ranked American. He finished quicker than the top women's winner showcasing how tight the spread was at the top. He ran the course in two hours, 11 minutes and 6 seconds.
Desiree Davila is the top American women's race contender, finishing 3rd with a time of 2 hours 26 minutes and 20 seconds.
Jason Hartmann had to have his stomach pumped before the race because of his stomach. Despite feeling bad, he placed very well.
