"Rally To Restore Sanity" Attendance Estimate

"Rally To Restore Sanity" Attendance Estimate : 150,000 to 250,000 depending on who you ask. The "Rally to Restore Sanity" is the event featuring not only Jon Stewart but Stephen Colbert as well. It also featured headlining entertainment such as Sheryl Crow, Ozzy Osbourne, and more.

The Rally to Restore Sanity took place at the National Mall, the same place as numerous other political rallies. What made this different is that Comedy Central personalities lead the way.

However, the outcome was great. Approximately 150,000 to 250,000 people showed up. This is a huge turnout, I think. Especially considering that this is the weekend before the elections and many liberal activists that otherwise would have come to the rally were out rallying for their candidates.

What are your thoughts on the Rally to Restore Sanity attendance? Watch the video below about the crowd.

  1. looked every bit as crowded as the Glenn Beck rally to me.

  2. Not at all, I just got back from there, it looked in every way more like the record braking attendance for the inauguration of Obama.. I spent most of it on top of a porta-potty with many others. It was literally a sea of heads as far as the eye could see in all directions . I can say without a question it didn't even come close
