TJ Lavin Accident coma update. BMX biker TJ Lavin, who's also the host of MTV's Real World Road Rules was involved in a horrific accident while participating in the Mountain Dew Games in Las Vegas. For those who are unfamiliar with the Dew Tour, there is a news coverage video clip which describes the event a bit better, followed by a link to the actual crash footage. Lavin was put in a medically induced coma to reduce swelling to the brain. This is common in traumatic events such as this. It's believed at this time that TJ Lavin will make a full recovery after the accident.
Face it- Xtreme sports are dangerous, and BMX biking is an Xtreme sport! It's entertaining yes, but when things go wrong it can really be serious.
