TJ Lavin Crash Update

TJ Lavin Crash Update. Our favorite MTV host of Real World Road Rules Challeng, TJ Lavin, was involved in a horrific crash last week in Las Vegas at the Mountain Dew Tour. He broke his eye socket and his wrist, and was placed in a medically induced coma.

Lavin has been taken off sedation, and the swelling on his brain has gone down. He's got a long way to go for recovery, but he's expected to pull through this okay.

In addition to the crash injuries, TJ Lavin has also been diagnosed with pneumonia. However, he's responding well to the antibiotics and, again, is expected to make a full recovery.

The crash happened while Lavin was attempting a nac-nac jump, and lost his footing. He lost control of his bike and crashed.

TJ Lavin Coma

TJ Lavin's coma update is available. BMX star TJ Lavin is in a medically induced coma in Las Vegas following an accident during the Mountain Dew tour. The coma was induced to ensure that brain swelling is kept at a minimum.

The biker was apparently trying to perform a "nac-nac" jump and didn't get his footing back in time to land. He fell from the air, and could not move when first responders showed up.

BMX racing is very dangerous, and is something that should be taken very seriously. The response so far from fans has been tremendous, and many are relieved that Lavin is expected to make a full recovery.
