Miley Cyrus Birthday - Hannah Montana Turns 18!

Yesterday was Miley Cyrus's Birthday. The former "Hannah Montana" star turned 18 yesterday making her legal...in every way except she can't drink. There's little scandal any more about the way she acts, as she's no longer a minor.

She's been criticized for her racy songs and music videos despite having a wholesome image as Hannah Montana. The Disney show is what catapulted her in to superstar status, and showcased her as a young musician who tried to live a double life as a teenage music star.

Her biggest hit to date, according to MTV is "Party in the USA" which was released last year. She's performed her song "Can't Be Tamed" on popular reality TV show.

She was seen kissing Avan Jovia on her birthday, according to CTV Canada. It looks like now that she's legal, she's really not going to be tamed any time soon!

Miley Cyrus Who Owns My Heart Video Angers Adults

Miley Cyrus's Who Owns My Heart video is bringing controversy once again. Miley Cyrus is the 17 year old daughter of Billy Rae Cyrus and for the most part was known as "Hannah Montana" from her stint on the Disney show by the same name.

Earlier in the spring, a lap dance video of Miley surfaced, and a couple of weeks later everyone was up in arms about her video "Can't be Tamed." Now she's released another video and for some reason there are people who are SHOCKED that she showed skin and acted twice her age.

The 17 year old (who has fans who are as young as 10, 12 years old) is in her lingerie getting ready to go to the club, and showing lots of leg in a limo then dancing in a club.

Last time I checked, clubs that let in people under 18 are non-existant and those who let people in under 21 are a rarity.

However, in the defense of Miley Cyrus - it's not her job to ensure that she caters to a particular audience, and it's not up to her to be modest or be a good role model. It's up to individual parents to monitor what their children are watching. That being said, I'd have more respect for a bit more modesty...
